Screen mirroring doesn't work for Netflix and Hotstar

I'm having a weird problem. When I try to mirror my Redmi Note 4 screen to my Samsung Smart TV, it works fine. But the second I play a video on Netflix or Hotstar (an India-based streaming service), it doesn't show up on my TV. I just see the notification panel at the top. The rest of the screen is black, even though everything's fine on the phone. The weird thing is that this never happened on my Moto X Play. I could easily watch content on these sites on my TV via screen mirroring. Can anyone explain why this would work on some devices and not on others?

Hello, Did you get solution to this problem ? I have exactly same problem with my redmi note4 and Panasonic Smart TV. I can browse the content Hotstar, which screencasting it on my TV, but when I play any video, TV goes blank (video plays on phone), and only audio plays on TV (No Audio on phone).
I have no problems in screen casting Amazon prime video..it works flawless.

This issue is because of the Terms of Use & Privacy Policy of Hotstar app.

There is no problem with your smart phone or smart TV.

Hotstar doesn't allow the video to be viewed in screen mirroring. Also it doesn't allow you to take screen shot of the app usage screen.

Thanks a lot for your reply....Amazon firestick solves the issue...as I can install the hotstar app in the firestick !!
