Screen off feature, need to know how to customize

Lurker
Hey guys, I accidentally stumbled upon a feature that I can't seem to find how to change/turn off/customize. When the screen is off, I rub (yes, rub, not tap, not swipe once or twice) the left edge, and yahoo news shows up in a little feed. my husbands phone (he has same phone) shows a facebook feed with a checkmark that we can't figure out what it does. The yahoo news feed on my phone does not have that checkmark. Also, I do not have the y! News edge app enabled.

Anyone know about this?

[I'm posting from an app and just realized I forgot to read the posting rules so I'll go do that now and come back and edit with new info if necessary and possible. Thanks in advance for your help.]

It's the Edge Feeds feature. Go to settings>Edge Screen>Edge feeds. You can download more panels too. Some of the options include the Step Counter for S Health. The one with the checkmark is notifications. After you activate it, you can swipe over them to scroll through the different panels.

I didnt even realize that "edge feeds" could be clicked on aside from the toggle. I feel like an idiot. Thank you so much. My husband and I are no longer tearing our hairs out over this lol

There are several areas of the settings that are like that, hiding more stuff. You may want to explore a bit. [emoji4]
