screen protector, all about

What's the consensus on the need for a screen protector, or not?
I assume the gorilla can still get scratched?
What is the best vendor product protector (and which are those to avoid)?

The Gorilla can still get scratches of course. It's still glass. But I don't use any screen protector. My phone just sits in my pocket alone, and I don't put it anywhere near sharp objects. I don't have any time to go to beaches either so there is that. Lol.

If you feel the need for a protector, I've had good luck with the amFilm full screen for the S7 from Amazon. I tried several regular TG protectors and they lifted or had halo issues. This one adheres on the top, bottom, and sides. And I use it with an Otterbox Defender with the plastic screen removed. My job requires me to move around in tight quarters of a warehouse so I need this level of protection.
Your need is dependent on how much risk you believe your phone is in to damage.

I've found with the s7 edge options that they adhere to the phones screen via glue across the top, bottom and down either side.

This can then mean the inner part of the screen can seem to move , float when typing on it. That's the best way I can explain it. ;)

I'm looking for one that adheres by silicone all over.

I just got the regular S7 (not the Edge) and bought Spigen screen protectors. I have used the Spigen's on my last 3 Samsung phones and have been happy.

That is not the case with their S7 screen protectors. They will not sit flat on the edges.
