hey guys, have a real headache of a problem. i had dropped my s3 7 days after purchasing it and the screen cracked and stopped working - phone was still on, just a black screen. drop was only about 3 ft. i had purchased a warranty through the store i had bought it from. they advised me if they had to replace the phone completely then it would be subject to a 150 deductible - which i paid as i was advised the screen is too expensive to replace. it's been two weeks now but today i got the call that the phone was in. the sales rep advised me it was a brand new phone - although my entire hard drive (phone settings, apps, wallpaper, texts, etc) was the same as the prev phone. i was immediately suspicious. i'm not a phone expert so i accepted the sales reps explanation. when i got home i cross referenced my original sales receipt which had the serial number - it was identical to the serial number beneath the battery - i was correct, it wasn't a new phone but a replaced screen. i'm not posting this to discuss that, but to advise that the vibrate functions now do not work whatsoever i.e. when performing actions on the phone, receiving calls/texts, etc. i'm obviously going into the store tomorrow to raise hell. i'm just wondering if anybody has experienced losing the vibrate function if they've ever dropped the phone? - or do you think this is something that was tampered with upon replacing the screen?
