Screen replacement help

I have my friends redmi note 3 that is dead fell in water and mine the screen recently cracked I was wondering can I replace his dead phone's screen to mine his screen is alright it's his motherboard that's messed up.

If the Xiaomis are identical models, yes you probably can take the good screen and put it in the smashed one. Do you know how to disassemble and reassemble it?

No I want to go to these guys at the shops who repair phone's but I wanna know if it's possible so I don't get conned
