I am trying to take a screen shot on an HTC inspire and I am having no luck. Can someone please help me?

Hi, Welcome to AF!

I would try the power button and the home key.You have to get the timing of the presses just right. If that doesn't help, you may need to install a screenshot app from the Play Store.
