Screen staying on while charging

How do I make my screen go off while charging and when it's done charging. This is really annoying at night because it lights up when it's don charging and I have to manually turn the screen off

It sounds like you've got never sleep tickled under developer options.

Just go to settings > developer options and turn off 'stay awake' option.

I can't use my Galaxy s8 plus with a Mophie juice box, because nothing in Settings prevents the screen from constantly turning on, sometimes with a pop-up at the bottom of the screen saying that the phone would charge faster with a fast charger. Obviously, it defeats the purpose of the charger if the battery is being drained by the screen being on all the time. When I'm using the screen, it dims every few seconds.
