Screen timeout

Just a quick little problem. i looked at all the screen time out threads and none of them answered my question so here i am. I did something today with my ally. i made a choice while it was plugged in that it wouldn't time out while it was plugged in. and uh...i don;t know how to change it back heh. sooooo any help would be appreciated. preferrably, no apps. i've got enough of those bad boys and i know it can be done without an app cause i got to it without an app. thanks

look in your phone settings for sound & display....... scroll down theres an option for screen timeout........ change it from 'never turn off' to whatever you want
