Screen turns on after fully charged

After installing Jelly Bean and then doing a factory reset my screen now turns on when my phone is fully charged. It will turn off as long as I uncheck the "Stay Awake" box, but I'd rather it didn't turn on at all.

Firstly, does this happen to everyone? I'm pretty sure my phone never used to do this before but maybe I just never noticed it.

Second, is there a way to disable it? Mainly I just don't want it to wake me up in the middle of the night if I am charging my phone.

I think that the screen has always turned on. I'm still on ics and it turns on. I'm unaware of any way to disable this.
