I am new to this phone. I have had the other notes and love them. When I am playing around on it and I get a text I notice that the screen turns kind of yellow. Is this normal?

Thank you. I have always had Samsung until the Note 7 was taken away twice, so I went to the I phone but the Note 8 won me over.

I never owned a note device but idk if thats normal or not, ive never seen a device do that before

are you using the stock text app?
what carrier?
did you root? if you don't know what this is, then you probably did not
do you have the blue filter option enabled under display settings?
under normal use out of the box, the screen should not change colors unless you have added some app or some such to allow this.

That's not normal. I'm sitting next to a Note 8 user and he's never experienced that. He's also a very frequent texter. 
Your talking about the whole screen right? If you just mean the text box when you send is yellow that's normal and something you can easily change in Settings on the text message app.
