Specialist app problem. Loving the scroll screen-shot facility. We Twitter people use this a lot in politics.
I have what appears to be an unusual problem which is trivially easy to deal with on my computer but I want easily to do it on my Note 3; the S-pen is ideal for doing this sort of thing accurately.'
This is to edit out a chunk in the middle leaving the rest still there.
This is more than a simple crop.
EDIT: UPDATE
Just mentioning I solved this problem with an app called Screenshot Join. Take a screen shot and crop to above the edit. Take another screen shot below the edit (can be scrolled). Run them through Screenshot Join and you end up with a screen shot and a piece of the column edited out.
I've also found a quick and dirty way of editing out slabs of a screen shot or an image by painting with a white brush.
The two examples below originally had captioned pictures partway down.
