Help SD Card damaged, reformatting not working

I received a GooPhone i7 (iPhone 7 clone) in the mail yesterday, and restarted it last night. When it turned back on, all my apps were uninstalled, and I had a notification saying "SD card damaged try reformatting"
When I tapped on it, it said "checking sd card" then "SD card damaged" came up again after a few seconds.
I've tried reformatting it from my computer, but it doesn't read the card. The card is installed inside the phone, and I would like to avoid opening it up if possible.

If you purchased this new, I'd return it ASAP. Cheap Chinese SD cards are prone to failure from the first time you use them and you'll have nothing but problems with this phone.

Is there no way to repair or replace it without a new phone?

I'm not sure if opening your phone voids the warranty or not. I've watched a video on swapping the SD card and it looks like you have to get into the guts of the phone which usually is something they would want a service center to do. Even if it was easy, wouldn't you want them to replace a failed SD card that you've paid for?

If a factory reset doesn't solve the problem... send it straight back and get a refund.

It would be cheaper to buy another than get it repaired, and they don't provide any repair service. I tried to install a new rom, but couldn't navigate the recovery menu because of the non-clickable button.

I think my best bet is to get a refund and look for a different seller.
