Help SD Card fail or Phone fail

I had started posted info about my SD card issues in another thread but it is getting more complicated so I wanted to start a new thread. Yesterday my S3 said Memory card unexpectedly removed. I could no longer access the card in either the phone or my computer, it didn't even register as being plugged in.
Before bed last night I put the card back in the phone as a last ditch effort to see if it might start working again (long shot I know). Before I went to sleep I noticed the phone had the card removed warning again. So it did register at least for a second then disconnected.
This morning when I woke up the card was functioning again, at lest partly. All of my pictures are back except for any I took in the last 3 days. I tried taking a new picture but it wont let me save to the card.

I'm guessing it's the card since it wouldn't read in the computer. Should I reformat the card or just get a new one? For info it is a Sandisk 32 class 10.

I've had smart phones since the early days of the HTC Incredible (1), know lots of folks with other smart phones -- and the Samsung G3 is the ONLY phone I'm aware of that trashes SD cards. I'm on my third SG3 now, and the previous two BOTH trashed SD cards -- different model and make cards.

In my case, the filesystems on the SD cards were trashed, rendering data recovery impossible. I tried 4 different, well-known data recovery apps, and NONE of them were able to recovery anything useful from the cards.

So, sorry, looks like you may have one of the SG3s that does this.

You could try reformatting it, and that will probably work, but the phone can simply trash that again at any time.

I did the following:
1) Bought a new SD card, different make, model, and speed than the predecessors
2) Changed the phone settings to save pictures and videos to the PHONE (not the external SD card)
3) Started a process of IMMEDIATELY backing up pictures and videos taken with the phone to my PC

This way, when this phone trashes the SD card, I will not lose anything critical from the card.

Ok, so the card would work intermittently sometimes with just a partial list of my pictures, finally today it loaded up all my pictures. I pretty much sprinted to my computer and transferred all my pictures over. Then I formatted the card and hoped it would work. Nope. S3 would still randomly say card removed insert a new one. So I went to Costco and got a new card. Installed fine. Came home and tried to transfer my pictures back to the phone. When I copy the files from the computer to the S3 it tells me "file XXXXXXXXXXX has one or more properties outside the device limits. If possible use a media device to convert the file before copying it....... transfer any way?"
It only gives me this warning for pictures I took with my S3, pics I took with my old phone transferred fine. What the hell...?
