SD Card files missing

I need it to do a factory reset on my phone, loaded up my SD card with a bunch of stuff that I wanted to save, unmounted the card, and took it out of the phone. After the reset, I mounted the card back onto the phone but it was missing all my apps that I had loaded on it, and I'm wondering if anything else is missing. Is there a way I can recover the missing files? Like an app maybe? And if so can somebody recommend a good one please? Thank you so much!

data recovery there is a huge number of applications (mainly for PC) - Google will give a minimum of 10 normal. But now the situation is different. Do I understand - you use the application menu to transfer to the SD card applications? When you reset the application (of course) will not be available. Go to your Google Account in play-and install them from this source. After format the SD card.

Or you used to back up and is not visible on the map created backup archive?
