Root sd card fix

has anybody try to do the sd card fix like on kit kat and lollipop so apps can write to it i heard if you format it then windows wont be able to recognize it?

edit Should of said for the marshmellow 6.0 im on metro and did the tmobile flashing and stuff like that now im rooted and was wondering if anyone has tried an sd fix for it like previous versions

Kitkat is the only version that has sdcard restrictions not lollipop

Generally I'd leave your microSD card as is, it's formatted as FAT32 or exFAT and Android includes basic support of FAT file systems. You can use your card to transfer files between your phone and your PC with a minimum of hassles.

The default file system for Android is ext4 however. Your phone's internal storage is ext4. If you reformat a microSD card as ext4 than yes, your phone will have both internal storage and microSD card storage using the same file system and that eliminates a basic problem with FAT formatted microSD cards -- FAT does not support Unix style file permissions (Android being based on a Linux kernel), so far as apps running off of your card that still requires any app to be 'split' with part of it in internal storage and part on the card, and as for files gets stored metadata differently. If you do reformat your microSD card as ext4, unless you specifically install a third-party utility to add ext4 file system support to a Windows box, Windows by default cannot access ext4 cards, it only supports FAT and NTFS.

Thank you i thought it was goind to be easy like the app for the kit kat and lollipop for apps to write to the sd card
