SD card format

how do i get music that is already on the phone to the sd card? i have the galaxy note 2 and i cant find a way to transfer my music onn to my sd card. they say i have to format my sd card but my sd card is blank so i cant do it any help would be great.
 
Hi, welcome to Android Forums, I'm sorry it's taken so long to get back to you.

Try installing your microSD card to your computer and format it there. Then after formatting it, an app like ES File Explorer and File Manager can help you move files from your phone to the microSD card.
