SD Card Help....

Hi everyone, im new to the forum and came here for help with my Note 5, I have ran out of storage space so I decided to buy a 16gb Micro SD Card and I have inserted it, problem I am having is it will only allow me to store Photo's and I can no longer down load new apps or update my phone software

Any help with this, am I doing something wrong or do I need to do something in the settings?
