SD card is locked?

I'm trying to get some pics from my PC onto the SD card that came in my Samsung Fascinate by putting the card into my PC and dropping the pictures into the folder. My problem is that when I try to drag the pictures in, I get an error saying that the card is locked. I took it out and switched the little slider to the other side but it's still saying it's locked. Is anyone familiar with this problem?

I think the slider on the card might be broken.

That or for some unkown reason, the card is encrypted or something...
