Sd card issue - Huawei P8 lite

Hi All,


I have a problem with using my SD card. I own a Huawei P8 lite however I cannot seem to put anything on the SD card.

I have formatted the SD card using both my laptop and the phone itself

I have set the default location as SD card and tried uninstalling and reinstalling apps. This just goes to internal storage


I have not figured out a way to change SD card from portable storage to internal storage. Can anyone please assist with this?

Adoptable storage (using the SD card to expand the internal partition) was not available until Marshmallow (Android 6.0) and even then, some manufacturers have removed the option.I'm not sure what Huawei's policy was regarding adoptable storage.

Adoptable storage never made it to the P8 Lite.
