Help SD Card Mounting Problem Upon Boot Up

Hi,

Lately, my HTC Magic with Android 1.5 suffering problem of unmounting SD card whenever boot up, or leave running for a while.

I'd installed a couple of apps lately, but now, I'm not sure what's wrong with my phone.

I don't want to Reset to Factory Settings. Is there anyway I could pinpoint what's wrong with my phone?

Well it could be a few things, it may just be dust in the card reader. Pull out your card give it and the phone a blow then reinsert, see if that helps before doing anything drastic like a factory reset.

Sorry, I'd forgotten to mention, I'd tried to take out the SD card and try to re-insert again. It works, but later, the problem re-appear again.

Okay have you tried reformatting the SD card?

How to reformat? My Android can't detect my SD card, and hence, the format option is grey out.

A replacement of my faulty SD card solved the problem. Up till now (almost 3 days ++) already, my Android doesn't complain about it anymore... yahoooo....
