Help SD card problem (I think?)

I'm having some trouble with my Pandora app - or at least that's what it seems to have begun with, I've noticed in my applications manager that a bunch if my apps have a different icon by them than they did before, and it seems that they're the ones I have installed on my SD card. This appears to have started when I was having connectivity issues that were interfering with Pandora. I then decided to restart my phone, but when I turned it back on Pandora had an android icon instead of its normal one and told me it wasn't installed when I tried to use it...

Apologies if this isn't enough/very good information, but I gave to go to work so I will try to explain my issues in more detail later on.

Yes that sounds like what android does when it cannot find the actual app associated to a widget or link. This often happened to me after I got a max size (for thrive) 32gb and really started loading it up with apps-to-sdcard (and later after rooting, I used link2sd, an even better sdcard tool). THis happened when:
1) I rebooted the phone, and during the first minute or three after restarting, their were so many apps to scan on the sdcard that it took too long and the operating system displayed the generic error icon instead of the normal icon (as you describe). In this case, the icons fixed themselves once the sdcard had enough time to load up all the link associations (in other words, i just waited a minute).
2) when i uninstalled an app which used a widget on the homescreen, the widget would still be there and trying to find it's home-app but unable because it was uninstalled. Reinstall the app.
3) other types of errors such as bad sectors on the sdcard (causing corrupted files) will cause the same behavior; as far as the phone is concerned the app is "uninstalled" or location changed, same difference.

Basically if your card is messed up, you need a new card and reinstall the app. But sometimes individual files can be corrupted for any number of technical reasons, while the sdcard itself is not actually broken, and just reinstalling the app will fix it.

I hope i understood your question correctly. Basically, the short answer is: uninstall and reinstall the app and see if that works. It probably will.

If you suspect the sdcard is broken, there are apps to scan them to check for errors.
