SD card reader for MotoX

The first one should work. (I won't say it definitely will, because I don't own one, but an OTG cable will let you do what you want with a card reader, and this one has a built-in card reader, so ...)

The second one will work if the camera uses a microSD card, not a full size SD card. (The first one will work with either.)

Any update? It might be handy to have around, especially if the full-size USB port can successfully let the phone read a thumb drive.

Yup. Haven't yet tried a keyboard, but it was very weird and cool to see a mouse move around the screen.

I got the device, and sure enough, hooking up a mouse to my phone makes a little mouse pointer show up. That could really be handy for precision actions that fat fingers don't do well, like when I'm using Jump Desktop to access a remote PC.

And plugging in a USB thumb drive worked perfectly. I was able to access it with Astro File Manager and view files with no problems. That's going to be really helpful for tweaking things on my USB drive in the field when I don't have a computer around. (Correction: I do have a computer. It's in my pocket, and it happens to have a "phone" app.)

One question, though. I don't see a way to "unmount" my USB drive. Is it being mounted in a safe-to-remove mode, or do I need to take extra measures (like turning off the phone) to prevent file corruption when removing the USB stick?

I haven't tried an otg cable yet, but is there an unmount command in settings / storage?
