I've been trying to switch from a 4gb sd card to a 32gb in my Galaxy Note 3. I formatted the 32gb in the phone then I copied (select all, drag and drop) all files from the 4 to my Mac and then to the 32. When I put the 32 in my phone, it does not register everything on it like it did the 4. The apps that are saved to the sd card do not show back up, the files of photos I have in there do not show back up in the Gallery, etc. When I put the 4gb back in, everything shows back up and works just like it should. Is there a way to fix this issue?

I can't think why photos wouldn't work, but for apps are you sure you got everything, including hidden files and folders? In particular, .android_secure? If you can't see folders starting with a "." on the Mac the answer is probably no.
If so, enable showing hidden files in the Finder' s settings and try again, or use a terminal command if you are happy with those.
