Help SD Storage as the default - 4.4.2 - Nextbook 7

Nextbook Tablet Model NX785QC8G running 4.4.2

Is there a link for a 4.4.2 users manual? Or are the manuals dependent on what device you have?

My primary questions.
Can you set the SD storage to be the default?
If yes, then how?

I've looked at Explorer and I can just toggle toolbar off and on. I don't see how you can do it from here.
Settings - Storage - I don't see how you can do it from here either.
I don't see where else you would look to config this setting.

I've looked on Nextbooks site, drilled down to the FAQ's for the model I have and no joy.
I've searched the web for the past two hours looking for an answer to this simple question.
Found a lot of info about different types of phones, read that on some devices you can't set the SD to be the default. And I've learned about the support.google.com/android link. If you need more info let me know.

Some apps let you choose a storage location but in general the default location is fixed and cannot be changed.
