I'm an ex-iPhone user...is there any way to search my LG G2 for specific apps, songs, etc. similar to how I would do it on an iPhone?

If you pull up the home button, does that bring up a google search? That should allow you to search for apps and media on the device.
Alternatively, the google search widget should do it.
If not, head to Google Settings -> Search & Now -> Phone Search and make sure everything is checked.

Ah! Thanks. I'm not used to Google being so integrated into my phone -- I guess I'll have to start!
