Searching for an MEID

Not android related, but I figure this is a decent place to ask. I bought an HP notebook, the slim dm1-3010NR model, off of Craigslist a couple of months ago. It's able to connect to Verizon's 4G network, I just have to get a SIM card for it. I went over to the nearest store location the other night, but no one could find the MEID or ESN of the device (not on the body, not under the battery, etc), so I wasn't able to start up the service.

I was able to use the command line to find the computer's serial number, but I can't seem to find anything with a google search regarding finding the device ID.

Does anyone have any info regarding this? Thanks.

I would try contacting HP and asking them where to look for the MEID

I read through the service manual for this model and it looks like there is no MEID or ESN for the Notebook, perhaps the number they are looking for is the 4g modem's identification. Since this model is built specifically for the Verizon network I am a little surprised that Verizon doesn't know how to activate it. (Okay, no I'm not, but I can't say what I think of them in polite circles. ;) )

This is CDMA/EV-DO isn't it? Doesn't Verizon supply a UIM card for the account? Put it in your device, and you should be in business. Like in the same way that China Telecom handles CDMA/EV-DO connections with modern devices.
