Second New Motorola that won't download apps

I replaced this yesterday after online chat with Motorola support who couldn't fix the fault.

Previously had a Motorola G series and got a refund and downgraded it, same problem.

Have tried everything they suggested, there's loads of memory, cleared all the caches etc, checked the app store settings and really I'm at a loss to know wtf is going on. There must be a fault with the software as it's the same problem as the previous phone which was fine until Tuesday.

Does anyone know how to resolve this fault, I can't face going back to the shop again and Motorola obviously don't know how to fix

It comes up with downloading, and simply, does not.

Regards.

Two different phones having the same fault is unlikely, so it must be something related to your setup.

Can you use data for other purposes, or download from places other than the Play Store? If not then it's a network issue (mobile account, WiFi problem, APN settings or something like that - WiFi unlikely if you tested it in store, as would be a different network). If you can then it's either a lack of internal space (you say you have plenty of space, but the SD card doesn't count for this, you need 500-700MB of internal space available) or something with the Play Store itself (the app or your account).

Sorry that's not an answer, but all I can suggest at this point is to try to narrow it down/eliminate some possibilities.

Can you provide more details please? You say that playstore apps are not downloading. Can you download general data from the internet, such as pictures or documents?

Are the downloads failing on WiFi and mobile data?

This happens a lot with different devices. Normally wiping Playstore and Play Services data, not only cache, will fix the problem. I have noticed an issue with this device and the E4 Plus, where data is not working when opening certain apps. The only solution I've found for this is to turn data off and back on and then the problematic app seems to get the data connection back. This is happening with both stock and custom roms.

This is not an issue with your phones, it's an issue with your account setup, as Hadron replied....
