What is the most secure email for financial transactions? I'm not sure if gmail is really trustworthy that way. Is there a good free one that gets hacked only rarely and doesn't spy on people?
 
ProtonMail is pitched as security-oriented. I have a free account with them (you can pay for more space), but don't use it often.
