Android Question

Guest
I am in the process of thinking of getting an Android phone. My only concern is privacy. Is there a way to ONLY have an Android account got google play? I dont want Youtube or Google+ associated to my email/account.

Get a Google account and add it to the phone. In Settings > Accounts > Select Google account > turn off sync for anything you don't want to use.

Hi

See here http://marketingland.com/google-plus-drops-mandatory-link-to-gmail-100826 You dont have to have a google+ account. Your "android" account is in fact a gmail account *****@gmail.com, but you don't have to use it for mail. You can use the phones email client (rather than the gmail app) with an existing non-google email account(s). Playstore and google playservices are an integral part of android. To not have them installed (they are pre-installed normally) would be like using an iphone with no appstore.
