flash player

Guest
Using Samsung galaxy tab 10.1. OS 4. Can't get Adobe flash player working. Have manually installed archived version 11.1 On the website I am trying to view, it states adobe flash player is not supported on this mobile device. That website states adobe flash player 9.0 or higher needed. The website must have changed something as prior to now i was always able to view the videos. I read articles stating adobe is no longer supporting android OS, is there any work around to get the videos playing? Please help.

Hi and welcome to AndroidForums!

Which web browser are you using? I have read that flash only works on the stock browser and Firefox, and not on Chrome...

If you aren't already using firefox (or maybe even stock browser) like mentioned above I would try that. Personally I used firefox and it worked great. Now I just keep firefox on my phone for browsing flash sites like amazon prime instant videos... I still use chrome for everything else :)

I was able to get flash player working on my phone recently, and it does sound like you are on the right track by installing the apk manually from the adobe archives on their site. You probably noticed that even though it's said that flash isn't supported by android anymore, that adobe is still updating flash for it, but only releasing it through the archives page. Just in case anyone finds this post that is looking for that page you can find it here: Archived Flash Player versions
Look just over halfway down the page for- "Flash Player for Android 4.0 archives"
The latest version at the time of this post is:
Flash Player 11.1 for Android 4.0 (11.1.115.69)

Chrome and stock browsers do not support flash video.. Firefox and some third party browsers do, but I recommend Firefox for sure..
