Seeking in videos

Hello everyone!

Some days ago I tried to play a movie in XVid format on my phone. I used the default Video Player app and realized that while fast backwarding worked in the movie fast forwarding did not

Anybody else was experiencing the same problem?
Is there any way to walk around this?
Can you recommend an available patch or another video player that is able to do FFWD in ALL the cases?

Here is my configuration:
Samsung Galaxy S
Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) XXJVP

I can also attach the movie info later.

MX video player does me. I liked Mobo player previously, but found MX slightly better performance wise and has a better Interface.
