I'm not exactly clear on what your question is.
You state in your thread title that your device seems to be muted and then you state that "mute shows active"..?
If mute is active, then I would guess that your device is muted?
Are all sounds muted but should not be? Are all your notification sounds turned up? Is your "Do Not Disturb" option disabled (if applicable)?
