Seesmic: Getting it to update stream in background.

Hi,

I am new to Android having got my shiny new HTC Desire last week and must same I am super impressed with how awesome it is.

The current twitter app I am using is "Seesmic" which came highly recommended. However it does not seem to update my stream in the background when it is not actively open. Is this how android works, or is it a function of the app.

If so can anyone recommend an app that does do this?

Go into the app, hit the menu button and open notifications, check the update frequency. It is probably set to a half hour to save battery life.
