Selling my E4GT and leaving sprint

I have the Android OS bug that drains my battery. I was willing to live with it till the fix is deployed. Tonight my phone has developed the loss of signal bug and was without signal for 5 hours today before I noticed. I missed a call about a new job and could possibly miss out on it because of this. I've had enough. This is un excusable. Were being charged full price each month for a phone that's not ready to be sold. Sprint refused to credit me or let me exchange for different handset. I just wanted to say goodbye to the nice people here. Everyone in this forum has been helpful and polite mostly. Good luck and I hope your phones are fixed very soon. I'll be moving on to the forum of whatever my next phone will be.

Wow that sucks man, if sprint wasn't the only ones offering unlimited data, I would have a droid bionic right now instead (although I like the GS2 better) sprint's data is too inconsistent, haven't experienced and loss of service. were you rooted?

Sorry to hear that...My friend in Michigan was having serious signal problems and Sprint told him the towers were above capacity!!!! WTF?!?!?! So they actually sent him a mini tower for his house that has over a 3 mile reach and will help all his neighbors as well.

FYI I currently have an EVO 4G which i love, and have been wanting to upgrade. I was keeping my fingers crossed that the Nexus Prime would head to Sprint but after seeing the headlines about Sprint getting the iPhone 5 as an exclusive, looks like the Nexus may head to Verizon...I'll never get an iPhone, so it looks like the GS2 is my choice.

I've had a airave booster that sprint gave me for about a year and every phone I've had worked fine with it but my E4GT. Sprint told me they've done everything they can. Maybe so, but an exchange to a different handset would've kept me around for a while longer.

Why? It took me about 3 min to unroot and flash the stock rom/Kernel via Odin to exchange my phone.....

Because I'm not Very good at such things and it's my understanding that wireless tether doesn't work yet and that would be my only need for root being that this phone was fast enough already I don't need to over clock. No matter now, I no longer own the phone. I'm just here to respond or perhaps help someone else

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Sounds like a defective phone. My Airave has connected to both mine and my wife's with no problems. I am rooted, but have never had the loss of signal that some have gotten. My wife's phone, bought 3 days later at a totally different store, is rooted, and again, no loss of signal on hers either. Before ditching it all together, I would suggest going to get a replacement 1st. This phone has far to many positives to just ditch! Good luck with whatever decision you make...

How long have you had the E4GT? Did you buy it directly through sprint or another company? I know about the 14 day grace period, however Best Buy still has the 30 day grace period for hardware. It might just be your handset. I have had mine for only a week now and have yet to notice any problems, however it's probably too early to tell. If you go else where, I wish you the best. I'm personally glad to be back with Sprint, coming back from T-Mobile. I am loving the data!

I've found the signal on this phone isn't all that great. I work in a place that give me bad reception anyway now it's almost non existent. I'm not sure if i should take it back for a replacement while i'm still in my 14 day or not. The thing is i have a Galaxy tab also and the reception in the same place is much better go figure.

I returned my Epic Touch today, and back to my EVO 4G. I was getting loss of service almost twice a day and no idea when a fix is coming. I'm really gonna miss that super amoled screen, that thing was awesome. Also finding out that Samsung phones don't roam on the 800 mhz band was a factor, we go down to our farm to hunt and the only signal I get out there is verizon, and most likely 800 mhz. This phone was like a super sexy girl that I really hoped would work out, but had some major issues (LOS). Back to the tried and true EVO for now.

Returned mines as well and went back to my Evo, I was tired of lossing signal all the time and I noticed a few times when I restarted my phone that my battery would drop 20% WTF? That was the last straw!

Sorry to hear all about all these exchanges for evos, but the evo is just sooo much slower, though I understand if you have reception issues I guess. This is my first phone at my new spot so I have no reception comparison with older phones.
