Semi imported contacts

I figured the Canvas would automatically import contacts from the Fanfare 2. It's done some, but not others. How do I correct this, other than typing them in myself?

How did you import them? If it was via Google contacts syncing then were the others stored as phone-only contacts rather than Google? That would explain it.

If so, a simple solution is to go into the Fanfare's contacts app and "export" them. This will create a .vcf file (vcard, which is the most widespread format for contacts sharing). Copy it to the new phone and "import" into that phone's contacts.

Only problem is that if you can't export just the ones that weren't copied you may end up with duplicates that you'll need to tidy up. But if the problem is different types of contact you may be able to just export the one type, which would avoid that.

You could also export them as a CSV (comma separated variable) file and open with a spreadsheet app and delete the contacts you already have. Then you can import those contacts on a PC into your gmail contacts and they'll sync back to your phone. Then you'll have no dups.
