Send data over voice channel with Android

Hi,
Is there any way to send data over the voice channel? For example, while I'm speaking I connect to a webservice and send data or to the party I'm speaking to. (on the same connection, not using wifi, for example)

I'm not sure what you're asking. It's 100% possible if you're on a GSM network.

I don't think you would be able to do this. It would circumvent carrier tiered data fees. GSM allows you to use both voice and data at the same time so you could send the person an email while talking to them but it would still show as data use, CDMA does not allow data and voice use at the same time. I assume you are using a CDMA network as if you were using GSM you would have been able to send data.

If I'm not understanding what you are asking correctly please elaborate.
