The news said something about Android (HTC G1) coming to India in December, well there have been quite a few blogs that have said so, but no news from HTC.....
does anyone here have any clues as to the release date for India????

do you guys use GSM simcards there? cant you just ebay one

In India we have both GSM and CDMA,
major players are GSM, while CDMA is a cheaper option.......
another good thing now available with GSM is the option to change your service provider while you retain your old number......

i would love to ebay one, but heard once the phone is unlocked it cannot be synced with your gmail account (pardon me if i'm wrong, i only quote what i read online , besides the ebay one's ain't exactly cheap - and not too sure if they can be trusted)
