sending camera shots via SMS text

Hello, I recently got my HTC incredible. When I try to send a camera shot via SMS text, it tells me the image is too large and it crops it down to a size that is not legible by anyone with a non-DROID phone. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you.

How is it non-legible only on non-Android devices? Either the file is to small/compressed to read or it isn't. There's definitely a limit to what you can send via MMS (SMS is text only) though I can't recall what that limit is off the top of my head. You can't overcome that limit. If you need to send a bigger file, try email.

other phones will pull up the picture, but it is only a fraction of it's initial size. I guess that is just the way it will be because the camera shot is too big. thanks
