Sending video mms

I searched and could not find anything. Why is my wifes moto droid and my eris only capable of sending like 4 seconds of video in a mms? We can receive like 35 seconds of video from a non smartphone. What is wrong with this? I try and send video through email sometimes to and that dont work either.

This free app called Youcast (www.youcast.net) should be able to help. It allows you to send files from android to android or android to PC without file size limit. You could download the app from market://search?q=pname:com.youcast.android.UI

I'm pretty sure it has mostly to do with the compression and file size of the video you're receiving as opposed to the video you're sending. Video from non-smartphones (aka video that is likely of very very low quality) will have a much smaller file size than that of video that's taken with a Moto Droid or Eris. Therefore, the video from the Droid or Eris will exceed the maximum file size limit much quicker (in terms of how long the video clip is you're able to send) than the non-smartphone video.

I know that's simply an explanation, and not a remedy, but I would definitely look into what JJJ suggested as a possible solution to your problem
