Help Serious privacy concern with viber and samsungs

Hello, I am extremely worried about privacy as I have only just recently found out from a friend that only on samsungs that within the application viber the display pictures that are put as a "profile picture" if you will are automatically being saved into samsungs gallery, a friend of mine had just recently been told that 5000 photos from viber displays have been saved into a 3rd persons phone automatically and the being an Samsung, myself and my friend both have iPhones , and we are extremely worried about how many others with samsungs have now had all the photos been displayed, also saved into their phones this is a urgent matter and need a response emidiately as this a extreme case of a privacy concern

I use viber on a samsung and have not received any profile pics from others in the gallery on my phone. They do appear within the viber app itself and appear to be stored within a folder used by viber here: /storage/sdcard0/viber/media/User photos
