Help Set your OWN ringtone

Hi,

Yesterday i have buy a new smartphone but now I want to set a custom
ringtone for my emails (this one)
but i have try to the old way to set a ringtone at a samsung (what works at my old smartphone) but that does not work so
how can i set my own ringtone at my email app?
(i have try 3 apps and it does not work!)

Although I am also from the Netherlands, I will answer you in English since this is an international forum. I hope you will understand.
At first a question: did you download the ringtone and where is it now on your phone? Is it already set as a ringtone or just in your music player?
Once it can be recognized as a ringtone or notification sound, you can make it a sound for your e-mail by opening your e-mail account, then push the menu button (left from home button), click in your screen on the button that says "More" (Meer in Dutch), Account-settings, then scroll down until you see "Select ringtone".
Please reply again when you didn't set your music as a ringtone yet, so we can give more help. Good luck!

I have made a folder whos called ringtone that is what i did with my old phone
and in there the song in

miss even in NL ook
ik heb een map gemaakt die ringtones heet wat ik eerst op me oude smartphone moest doen maar dat werkt dus niet

de bedoeling is dus een eigen nummer instellen bij mails in plaats van die standaard dingen wat dus niet gaat met die apps die veel word aangeraden op forums (btw deze methode kwam ook van een andere forum alleen weet niet meer welke XD)
(dit ging op me oude wel!)

Eigen mp3’s gebruiken als beltoon, sms toon of meldingstoon:
Maak een map op je sd kaart (intern of extern maakt niet uit) en noem die map media. In die map maak je een map en die noem je audio. In de map audio maak je drie mappen, met de namen “alarms”, “notifications” en ringtones. In die mappen kun je je mp3’s zetten, die geschikt zijn als alarm, notification/meldingstoon of ringtone.
Als je nu naar berichten gaat en op de menu knop drukt, kun je bij instellingen (helemaal onderaan) een beltoon voor sms selecteren.

Own MP3 as ringtone, sms tone or message tone:
Create a folder on your SD card (internal or external work) and call it media folder. In that folder create a folder and name your audio. Your final solution is exactly what I would have told you to do after my first message wouldn't have been enough information. Great that you have found it yourself. Now everything should work for you. Enjoy it!

Je uiteindelijke oplossing is precies wat ik je aangeraden zou hebben als mijn eerste bericht niet voldoende zou zijn. Heb dat bewust niet gedaan omdat het anders zoveel zou worden. Goed dat je het zelf gevonden hebt. Alles zou nu moeten werken. Geniet ervan.
