How do I set the time on a samsung galaxy centura phone? And how do I keep the setting?

Go to Settings --> Date & Time. If you have phone service, "Automatic Date & Time" should be checked so the phone can get the accurate time from the cell towers.
If not, uncheck that and set the date & time manually. Hope this helps!
