Help Setting attendance to "Yes" for Google Calendar events doesn't work

This has annoyed me to no end. Acknowledging event invitations from Google calendar emails doesn't seem to work.

I get an email for an event and touch the "Yes" in the "Going?" section. Then it launches S Planner and shows the event, and shows "Yes" under "Attending?" but below that it shows my name under "No response" and only the Organizer as "Yes".

To accept the invite I basically have to:

  1. Change the "Attending?" value to "No"
  2. Note the date of the event
  3. Go back out of the event to the calendar
  4. Find the day of the event
  5. Select the event
  6. Change the "Attending?" value to "Yes"
  7. Go back out of the event
Then it says "event saved" and if I look at it again it shows me under "Yes".

This is very annoying. It seems I should just be able to touch on the "Yes" in the email and have it put in my calendar with me attending.

Does anyone else have this problem? How can I fix it?
