setting gentle alarm as primary application

I was hoping that someone could help me out! I wanted to set the Gentle alarm application as my primary app when it is placed into the seidio multimedia station. It goes straight to the droid multimedia mode, then i have to switch over to the gentle alarm. I cant find any setting to make this happen. sorry if its a dumb question! i am learning.

Not a dumb question at all. I use an app called Bedside that replaces the stock multimedia dock app. But I am simply replacing a dock app with an alternative dock app, and the settings for Bedside allow me to do this. The problem with what you are trying to do is replace a dock app with an alarm app ... and I don't think that's possible.

Unless someone smarter than me comes along with a better solution, I do have a suggestion for you. If you were to buy the Bedside app and use it to replace the stock multimedia dock app, it allows you to select any alarm app you want as it's default ... as well as a custom music app and a third custom app of your choosing.

Thanks for the quick reply! The first time that i placed my phone into the dock, a screen popped up and asked my which applicaiton i wanted to open, and if i wanted this to happen "every time" it was placed into the dock. I without thinking hit the droids primary station setting, instead of hitting the "gentle alarm" application. I was hoping there was a way to go back in a sense, and change that decision! i cant find it in any of the settings.

Like you i set the default for the media dock instead of gentle alarm. After backing up my gentle alarm settings, I uninstalled it then reinstalled it. Gentle alarm automatically notified me of the back up and restored my alarms. When I docked the phone I was asked which app to use as default allowing me to select gentle alarm this time. I can now also dim the screen and change the color! I did not check the box to make the selection permanent so I can try more options still. You will lose the weather feature of the stock dock app, so i suggest trying bedside also

Go into settings, manage applications and clear defaults.
