Setting Text Under Home Screen Icon?

Hello folks:

My home screen has links to several pages of an organization.

The icon is the same for each link, which is fine, but the text under each icon is also the same.

Is there a way for me to put my own text under the different icons so I can distinguish between them?

I think you use to be able to do that years ago by just long pressing on the icon, but that doesn't seem to work anymore

The only thing I can think of doing is put the link in Documents, and name each link in Documents differently, then in setting select "Add to Home Screen.

Try a different launcher. I use Nova (Prime) which allows the customization of the individual icons as well as the text.

I agree with pitcarver, use a different launcher such as Nova launcher, which let's you do this.
