Several apps failing to update...

Is anyone else having issues getting the recent updates for Angry Birds, Jet Car Stunts Lite, Air Attack HD and World Newspapers to install? They download just fine from the Market but then the installation fails and says "Reason Unknown-18". I have tried downloading via 3G as well as wifi, did a battery pull and a reset but still no luck. I'm frustrated. The worst part is that I also tried deleting Jet Car completely to re-download it entirely but I can't download it at all and I get the same error. Help!

I had the same problem. This only happen on a couple of apps. Some updated just fine and some had the same "reason unknown -18".

I tried the suggested clear cache of market, clear data of download manager, uninstall updates of market. None is working.

But finally last night I found the answer that worked for me. I noticed the apps that are having problems are installed on SD. All I did was to move the apps back to the phone and update. It updated just fine, then I move it back to SD if space is limited.

Thanks guys. This did the trick. After my initial frustration, I noticed that the apps giving me the problems were saved on my SD card so I moved them to the phone's memory. It still didn't work so I followed starfish's instructions of unmounting the SD card first and I finally go the updates to install. I'm curious, though...why did these apps originally save to my SD card? They should automatically default to save to the phone's memory if there's enough available room, shouldn't they? I have a Droid X so I have gigs of phone memory left...memory space should never be an issue on my particular phone. Thanks again for the help guys.

I am having the same problem on my Droid X. I did a factory reset and that didn't solve it. Why is having problems loading on the sd card....GRRRR
