Help SG2 won't connect to my Mac, since ICS update

Ever since I did the ICS update, my SG2 doesn't have the USB option at all. When I connect my USB cord, it gives me 2 options - USB PC Connections Connect as
Media Device (MTP) Allows you to transfer media files in Windows, or using Android file transfer on a Mac

Camera (PTP) Allows you to transfer photos using camera software and transfer files onto PC that do not support MTP

Those are my only options. Called sprint and they couldn't help me and SAMSUNG couldn't even help me. Suggested i just use Kies Air. Which I don't want to do because it takes sooo long to even transfer a phone. It was so much easier to just go ahead & plug my phone in via usb and just transfer my files, photos. Can anyone help me????

This is also happening to me. I have searched and everyone says the USB cable, or USB jack is faulty but i have connected to a windows laptop successfully. I cannot connect to my MBP even after downloading the utility. Does anyone have a solution?

I believe ICS did away with USB Mass Storage (UMS) and replaced it with the MTP protocol. I'm not a Mac owner, but I believe Mac does not support MTP. If you google "MTP on MAC" you'll find several pointers to Android File Transfer. You might try that.

Been this way for me too since ICS. I use AirDroid instead. Android File Transfer has NEVER worked on my Mac.

It ended up having to have the camera featured checked and then run the program. After a while, it automatically opens up.
