Help sgh-r97oc unlock to other carriers

Hi, does anyone know if the old cdma cricket galaxy s4, sgh-r97oc can be unlocked or a custom rom or rooted, and used on a different carrier? This phone is a wierd animal, because it is cdma, yet it also uses a gsm sim card for LTE capabilities. So, its a hybrid. Its like the US Cellular ones, which also share the "oc" suffix in the model number. And if it can be unlocked, can it then be used on cdma, gsm, or both types of carriers?

I may have found my own answer. Theres several listings on ebay for Mr Hunters Flash and IMEI Repair Service. His ad claims he can flash this model and others to different carriers including straight talk. They do it by remote accessing your computer, and you need to download some special programs on the computer to perform the flash. He charges $44.99 for this service.
