I have the Samsung Galaxy SGH T999 model that I'm currently using in Zambia on the airtel network. Is it possible to update it the 4.1.1 firmware? What would happen if I tried updating it?

Make sure you battery is fully charged
Backup you ROM (instructions in the tutorial)
Backup your files (maybe with Clickfree Mobile Backup)
