Played one battle, was pretty fun, I'm a fan of MTG.

Problem:

One battle, less than 30 minutes play time, killed half my battery - using Droid X.

Ouch!

Decided to try the game out on the web first before downloading the app. It's a neat game, but it feels like it takes too long to be able to get some new cards. From what I can understand, you have to level up four times to be able to afford a booster pack? Just seems like a lot of work, really. I mean, I get that, from a business standpoint, it makes sense to kind of push users to spend real world money to get cards faster, but it still seems just a tad bit unbalanced. Just my two cents.

Actually, You can earn thousands of shadow dollars (or w/e they're called) just by doing various surveys and downloading different things. If you log into the game on a computer it's much easier than trying to navigate on a phone.

I play it on my incredible and it too suffers under the power strain. i either played while plugged in, or on my comp.

You dont have to buy the booster pack, all the individual cards are available via purchase through gold at the merchant, you earn gold every match you played, you can also sell excess cards which you are not using in your deck for gold as well, 50% of its purchase price. Quick tip- use the shadow credits to buy the starter deck instead, which contain 32 cards and sell the cards you dont need, now you have enough gold to get watever individual card you want at the merchant :p
You can create different account to try out different starter deck to see which class suit you as well.
